Blue Diamond employs only qualifiedPADI Instructors and Dive masters speaking a variety of languages: English,Swedish, Dutch, German, Danish, Norwegian ,French and Thai. Many ofour staff have worked on Koh Tao for several years and have logged hundredsof dives around Koh Tao.

RESTAURANTThe Bluediamond Restaurant is located at the far end of the Mae Haad Beach. Have a walk through the market. There are many nice shops alongthe way. The Blue diamond Restaurant invites for a romantic sunset-dinner. Western and Thai - Food served in a chilled out atmosphere with a fantasticview over the Gulf of Siam.
After dinneryou can have a walk on the sandy beach or enjoy a drink in one of thebars along the road. In the afternoon it is also a quiet spotto sit down and read a book in the shade while enjoying an ice-coldfruit shake.

The most important thing for us, however, is thoroughtraining, which we attain with small groups (we won't usually refusejust one student) and personal, understanding teaching. Courses areavailable in English, German and many other languages, with educationalmaterials available in most languages.

For people without the time for a full courseor who want to check it out first, we are happy to give youa real taste of diving. It's a strictly shallow dive, startingin water "deep enough to stand up", after a thorough briefingon safety rules, techniques and equipment. A full beginners diving coursse, taking about4 days and involving theory sessions (DVD & personal teaching),shallow water training and 4 actual dives. The first level in the PADI professional programwill teach you how to care for Certified Scuba Divers and assistin teaching situations. This should take a minimum of 4 weeks(including as many dives as it takes) as there's lots to do!In-depth (so to speak) theory, lots of in-water work, but alsolearning how to help in the running of a scuba dive center,from filling tanks and maintaining equipment, to caring fordivers & students, to handling potential customers and dealingwith paperwork.

We have dived here for15 years & have compiled a full photo directory of our localmarine life, so join us for the Specialty U/W Naturalist courseor the U/W Photographer course; we are experts. Have you everdived with the extra bottom time that enriched air (nitrox)allows you, or do you want to dive deeper, but with proper trainingfirst? Then we've got the Specialty Enriched Air or Deep Divercourses.
Basically there is a program to meet most diversspecial interests & we're usually happy to teach it; just letus know. Just, please dont ask at Blue Diamond Dive Resort forthe "u/w hunter" course, as we are doing the best we can topreserve the underwater world on Ko Tao! Altitude Diving andIce Diving are also quiet difficult to archive on Koh Tao. |
